Otherworldly Street Art

In the practice of street art, there are a few artists in particular whose creations continually stand out for me. Of course, there is Banksy – watching his film, “Exit Through the Gift Shop,” was actually what first got me interested in street art. I’m particularly keen on the latest works of another UK street artist, Hush. Roa‘s critter creations are sometimes disturbing but always striking. Also interesting is Vhils’ use of what has sometimes been termed ‘reverse graffiti.’

Well, add Iemza to that list. Like Roa’s, Iemza’s works sometimes near the grotesque. There is an undeniable – and beautiful, I think – otherworldliness to Iemza’s creations. Take a look for yourselves.
