A Stylish Sanctuary for Writers

At the direction of Portuguese architect and set designer João Mendes Ribeiro, what used to be a poet’s house has been skillfully converted into a retreat for writers. As Casa da Escrita, the building now hosts an archive, writing spaces, and temporary living quarters for visiting writers. And, I might add, it has some pretty neat lamps – take a look.

Looks like a wonderful place to write – although I think I’d be distracted by the lovely surroundings. Nothing wrong with that though!

  1. So tempting to go there! I love the sparseness of it all…

I want to go there…truly. If only I could write something worthy of my entry into those amazing spaces. I love this post!
