Lovely Landscapes, Subtle Scenes

Spanish photographer Andres Medina has traveled along the Iberian Peninsula’s Tajo River, all the while capturing beautiful scenes in which people and nature interact. I think what I enjoy best about these pictures is the way the artist shows this interaction in a subtle, yet delightful manner – for instance, he sees a telephone pole amongst the tall grasses, broken poles by tree branches and recognizes deeper relationships. These photographs are part of his ongoing series, “Beyond the River.”
