Through the Looking Glass and Up the Climbing Wall

Well, this is certainly different.

Japanese firm Nendo designed this whimsical climbing wall for a fitness club in Tokyo’s fashion district. The climbing wall – inspired by “Alice in Wonderland” – is equipped with mirrors, picture frames, bird cages, and flower vases in the place of more traditional hand- and toeholds.

I do hope there are safety harnesses, as well.

  1. What a wild idea!!– much more interesting than the usual rocks! Great photos– thanks for sharing. (Yes, where are the safety harnesses??– they musta slipped thru the looking glass!!)

  2. Perhaps if they fall they become art…sort of a performance art Jackson Pollack.
