Pentagonal House in Japan

Kazuya Morita Architecture Studio designed this house near Nagoya, Japan. The couple for which it was built wanted to have their house on the same lot as their relatives’ traditional Japanese-style house. Working within such a lot-sharing arrangement, the architects designed an unusual pentagon-shaped residence.
