The Rayograph

A House With Four Eyes

Edward Ogosta Architecture designed this fascinating weekend residence in a stunning locale, California’s Coachella Valley. The residence – called Four Eyes House – consists of four towers, each arranged so as to optimize a particular experience of time and space. Specifically? Views of the sunrise in the east, a mountain range to the south, distant city lights in the nights to the west, and the starry sky above. Each looking glass-like tower accommodates a bedroom with a view and is linked to the common area which stands centrally.

Ultimately, I find the surrounding landscape ever-so stunning, the structure’s design quite interesting – and I love how it all comes together conceptually, highlighting connections between the dwellers and the land.
