Star Trails, a Photographic Series Captured from Space

Thanks to the sharp eye and skilled hand of NASA astronaut Don Pettit, unfortunately-earthbound humans such as ourselves can catch a glimpse of Earth as seen from above. Over the past two months, NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) has been sharing Pettit’s amazing long exposure photographs taken while aboard the International Space Station. It is definitely worth a few minutes of your time to check out images from the engineer-turned-photographer’s series, “Star Trails.” Take a look at a selection below, then see even more over at the NASA JSC photoblog.
