Natural Wonders

An Arizona native, artist Frank Gonzales attended school in southern California, lived and worked in New York for a spell, and recently returned to his homestate where he continues to practice his craft. His beautiful, vibrant paintings are all about drawing from nature while giving the ages-old thematic material a new twist of his own. In each piece, realistically painted birds, nests, and flowers typically stand out against a flat, monochromatic backdrop, splashed with the occasional colorful hint. For a closer look at a selection of the artist’s works, see within.
