Readymades: The Mine Kafon by Massoud Hassani

[Friendly Reminder: ‘Readymades’ is a new ongoing series that will shine a spotlight on selected functional, yet unusual, unique design objects.]

Design creative Massoud Hassani has created a wind-powered land mine clearance device, better known as The Mine Kafon. Inspired by the rolling, wind-borne toys he played with during his youth in Afghanistan, Hassani dreamt up a uniquely useful design object that is both interesting to look at and endowed with potentially life-saving powers. See The Mine Kafon in test mode, thanks to this Callum Cooper-made teaser for a documentary about the designer and his product.
