Caleb Charland’s Experiments Merge Photography, Chemistry

Since receiving his MFA in Photography in 2010, Caleb Charland has created experimental photographs that merge science, art, and nature in truly unexpected and pleasing ways. Recently, the photographer found pixelated images of deep space objects on the web, then used various chemical processes to alter the final images. In details of these remixed media, you can really see how the pixels dissolve into inky clouds resembling nebulae.
