The Rayograph

One Sad, Giant Leap Photographed by NASA

On September 7th, NASA successfully launched its Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) spacecraft from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. Despite the textbook launch of the Moon-bound rocket, not everything went exactly as planned.

This unfortunate frog really got walloped at Wallops.

NASA’s team of photographers captured these historic, yet unfortunate images during the launch using remote cameras set to take photographs when the launch sequence began.

Poor little frog. “The condition of the frog, however, is uncertain,” NASA reported.
