Creative Couple’s DIY Cabin in the West Virginia Hills

Creative couple Nick Olson and Lilah Horwitz are what I suppose you could call Super Makers. Day to day, Olson is a photographer, while Horwitz is a designer of clothing. While they typically live in Milwaukee, the duo recently completed work on a unique getaway cabin located in the mountains of West Virginia, a retreat they built themselves for only about $500. And just how did they create such an inviting hideaway so cheaply? Salvage. Those beautiful, variously-shaped glass windows forming the front of the cabin were all gathered from a nearby abandoned barn.
